What a nice way to begin the 2022! I really love this shot because Verucchio is a very nice medieval village in Romagna, near Rimini, but I am personally and sentimentally very bond to this extraordinary town too: my father was born here on the 15th of November in the far 1936 and spent here the first 12 years of his life. In 2020 he passed away and I miss him every day.

About visiting Bologna, there is an unwritten law: if you stay at Bologna, you’ll leave fatter! Bolognese cuisine is delicious and irresistible, indeed.

Bologna is not a top tourist destination like Rome, Venice or Florence. It’s a pity because it’s a very interesting city. Because of the architectural beauties, churches and porticoes in particular, and, again, the amazing culinary tradition.

The panorama of Bologna is astonishing: the skyline with the medieval towers is unforgettable. Furthermore now there are few medieval towers: the most famous are the two leaning ones, Asinelli and Garisenda, a symbol of Bologna. In the Middle Ages the towers were about one hundred! Imagine a Medieval Manhattan!
